While it's a discussable point, I don't know of anyone who "wore out" their car by driving around with a full tank. I'll go out on a limb and say if that alone induced premature failure of any vehicle, it most likely has other more pressing issues.

I would be more worried of the additives in the fuel. Ive seen my fair share of completey rusted or corroded out fuel pumps/tanks and internal tank components. Fpumps are in harsh invironment and will die of a multitude of causes. Much like us. Now best i load the shottie as i might have an intruder and have to use it (rolling eyes)

I always fill my car fuel tank while it's running. Does this affect the fuel pump??
