Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

Mine was delivered with less than 1/4 tank. Dealer told me he could bring it down the street and fill it up for me, or give me a $75 gas card. I took the gas card...didn't want to wait 20 more minutes or let someone else drive it before I did!

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

When I bought my Charger in December of 2012 the dealer refused to fill it for me. They still gave me the best deal out of all the dealers in the area. It sucks that they cheap out like that now.

Did you have to put gas in your vehicle after taking delivery?
I was told the same. But we all know how many vehicles me and my family have purchased from that place.

So to answer your question, No.

EXACTLY --- $995 destination fee and not a full tank of gas?

On my build sheet it says "YG1 7.5 Additional Gallons of Gas" with MSRP pricing of $0 and invoice pricing of $26.

My dealer for my ordered 2011 Overland Summit in South Florida.....cough cough .....Arrigo Sawgrass......did not fill the tank (just the 1/4 tank from the factory). I used Treadlighty for affiliate pricing which is 1% below invoice and they had a high dealer fee which upon insistence they removed (it is not allowed with the affiliate pricing yet they insisted on charging it until I strongly pressed the issue).

Koons on the other hand gave me a FULL tank of gas for my 2014 Summit and on net with dealer fee they were around 6% below invoice.

So the winner is Koons by a long shot!!!

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

All the cars I've purchased NEW have always come with a full tank of gas. When I picked up my CRD last Thursday, I actually drove the car to the gas station with the sales manager, chatting it up, and he put the gas in himself.

Seems like good business to do that for customers, regardless of what's "required."

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

Out of 22 vehicles I have ever bought, never once had less than a full tank of gas. Huntington Beach Jeep actually was the cheapest I've ever seen and I didn't even have to ask about the full tank, it was already done. Kudos

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

Besides getting a good deal based on all the research first done here at JeepGarage, I need to work more on my negotiation skills. Free oil changes for life! I got a slip for 4 free car washes, but that came with the welcome packet. haha.

Ironically Huntington Beach Jeep is where I picked up mine last week with only 1/4 tank... But their internet price was good so oh well.
