Ended up at Glenn Thomas. They got what I wanted, and beat everyone's price.

AND...as I said before...gave me a full tank of gas (among other things).

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

Heck, they even gave me the official "Jeep" all weather mats with mine. Great buying experience.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

2014 Grand Cherokee Diesel. Before I took delivery, the salesman took the keys and said he would fill the tank with fuel. As I was driving away, I noticed it was barely 3/4 full. I guess the salesman didn't say he would fill it to the top.

Sadly, this is the most expensive car I've purchased and it didn't come with a full tank.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

It certainly wasn't offered by my dealer, but I made them fill it up as part of the deal.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

When I picked mine up my salesman went for a ride with me to make sure I was familiar with all the systems. First stop was a gas station and a fill up at his expense. He then walked me through phone pairing, and all the other Uconnect stuff. We spent about a half hour with questions and answers. Mine was a pretty early build and delivery, so I got to answer a few questions from him too. I learned a lot on this forum before my delivery. All in all, it was a really great purchase experience. My dealer, and his sales and service staff are top notch. Also got 3 years of free oil changes.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

a $90 charge was on my invoice for a full tank of gas. i questioned it but then said whatever, it would cost me about the same if not more since it's $1.389/liter here and the tank is 93 liters.

Full Tank upon Delivery?

Bought the car, dealer prepped it and then the salesman handed me the keys and asked me to meet him at a nearby gas station where I filled it up and he paid. Also three years of free oil changes from the dealership and if I need they provide vehicle loaners when it's being serviced. Though the deal was not as good as some of the group buys I did get the friends/family pricing and great value for my trade compared to some other dealers. The other plus - the dealer is local which I like.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

Mine was full and I was impressed, after 24 years of new Chevy or Ford fleet cars every 2 years with barely enough gas to go 2 blocks to the gas station. I really never paid much attention to my wife's new cars, but I think they were full too.

I got a call on my birthday and purchase anniversary every year for 6 years from my Lexus dealer.

Also filled up my tank every time they had my car overnight for service. And a loaner too of course.

No trips to the Jeep dealer in my first year and 25k miles, but I know I'll miss the lexus service!

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

My dealer prepped at their Jeep facility. Drove to one of their other facilities that was 30 minutes closer. Cleaned/washed again, topped off the tank and let me have her.

I guess I just assumed that a full tank was a given.
