Texas Group Buy dealer.
Was promised $50 reimbursement if I went and bought gas and brought him the receipt which I did. He told me he would go right up to the cashier and give them the receipt. Three days later, I got an email from him and he said that my receipt had been lost. He asked if I had a copy of it, DUH. I said that we had come directly from the gas station and handed him the receipt so no copy was possible. We had rented a car at our expense to get to the dealer. If we had taken a taxi, dealer would have reimbursed the $76 dollar cab fare from the airport. This therefore would have cost them $26 less than normal. Told him that he should look very hard for the lost receipt. Never heard another word back from him. It leaves a very sour taste in my mouth for what could have been a near perfect vehicle buying experience! The above post makes me even more upset than I was.

Hmmmmmm, that is annoying. You should have followed up with the guy....they don't need the receipt to reimburse you $50 as a manager can always sign off on stuff like that.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

I got a $50 voucher, only when I noticed the tank was empty. I was told that Chrysler was forbidden to do it per the government bailout. This was 2012, before Fiat was full owner.

My BS meter is going off....not at you but at the dealer. Perhaps Chrysler couldn't do a full tank (and I doubt that) but surely the dealer could! So much dealer BS out there...

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

When I purchased my Altitude in July my salesman handed me a $75 gas card and said Jeep did not give the dealers a gas allowance anymore and it was up to the individual dealer to provide any gas fill up and that is how the decided to keep it going.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

I will say that I purchased 2 jeeps same day at Tyson motors and the delivery was crap. barely any gas in both cars, out of wiper fluid and the interior was pretty dusty/dirty. They supposedly cleaned it but not up to par after spending that much money

I had the same experience. They supposedly cleaned the truck and 1/4 of tank of gas.

Full tank upon delivery of the car. Salesman even checked to make sure it was full for me. Great service all round.

Re: Full Tank upon Delivery?

It's pretty amazing how different the dealer experience is from one to another. It doesn't seem that Chrysler has set, or enforces, standards across their dealer network. That's a shame, because a customer's experience with their dealer goes a long way in determining their satisfaction with a vehicle. I've been extremely lucky, in that my dealer has behaved in only a positive way with me for decades now. The day I picked up my new JGC my salesman spent the better part of an hour in the vehicle with me. We drove to a filling station and he filled it up using a dealer credit card. He also went over just about every system in my Jeep to make sure I understood it. We paired my phone, and synced my phonebook. He walked me through the Uconnect registration process and set up my account. He also gave me a coupon book for three years of free oil changes. The prep of my vehicle was done according to a checklist. I know where I'll be making my next vehicle purchase.

Funny that Jacko, customer service?? In this day and age where anyone in the service industry has probably dozens of courses on securing sales and customer service, many dealers/salespersons still don't get it. Look after me and I will remain loyal. Piss me off and I'll get on the net and make sure no more business goes your way. Looking after the customer is not that hard, or is it??

As with you, I've only had positive experiences with the dealer I bought my car from, however all those other bottom dwelling parasites I had to wade through to find this dealer, that is another story!
