Just scroll down a little bit and you'll see they have 3 options, fuel tanks, transfer case and front axle.

They fit right in, no need for holes or anything, in my case I got the 3 of them, I'd rather be on the safe side since I take my Jeep to different off road trips.
Rgds.
Victor, I think Echo already has the standard skid plates. I directed him to Chief Products because they offer a "Transmission Protection Plate" and a "Sump Protection Plate" that Chrysler/Mopar do not offer. The JGC doesn't have any protection for the area covered by the transmission protection plate and only a plastic guard over the area that the sump protection plate covers, which I believe is one of the parts that broke/tore on Echo's JGC (it tore on mine too). I will warn whoever does order these parts from Chief Products that if you chose to ship by sea, (the only really reasonable shipping price to the US) it took mine about 3 months to arrive.

Hi again,
I agree, I didnt realize that might be Echtango already has skid plates, mine came with none so I had to get them.
The plastic piece covering the sump that comes standard is useless, I guess if you use your Jeep only for on-road it serves well, but if you plan on taking your drive even to a light off road most probably you'll break it..

I had a few protections done to mine, front and rear, I'll post pics soon, the one in the back I believe its quite important as if not the lower back fascia/bumper if you go thru water or mud or sand will work almost like a shovel and you end up breaking the plastic which is the lower part..hard to explain in letters..I'll send pics soon.

Anways...regards and have a good day/night.

I am anxious to see what you did in the back. My back fascia/bumper has some serious scratching from off-roading.

I now need a front skid plate system, maybe multiple plates that include something like RRO's prerunner front end plate.

I also do not have Dom's DEF injector protective plate, and I've been offroad several times in the dry and in the mud, and have driven through lots of water, and the DEF injector is fine. As I've posted elsewhere, the injector looks well protected.

Now, back to figuring out what plates to get... When I was underneath removing the front plate, it looked like many other parts are vulnerable. So I need a system of skid plates and rock rails to provide comprehensive protection. And all have to fit together. I need to do some research on that.
looks like a great spot and for the most part a Great day! but just to be clear ... no skid plate package just the standard undercarriage coverage? I have a 2015 Overland V8 with the off road pkg 18 inch wheels, quadra-drive and skid plates- trail rated..I take it this was not your set up?

I had two skid plates, both from Jeep. The salesman when I bought my JGC new at the dealership said that with those plates it is equal to those with the Trail Rated badge. The front plate tore off in the dunes. So did the useless floppy black shroud. Now I'm left with one skid plate towards the rear but I don't think it covers the full width of the vehicle - I don't recall right now.

You ripped off the front steel plate? Also, the ORA2 pack contains 4 skid plates, sump, transfer and 1 for each fuel tank.

Yes I did. Now there's only 1 plate left.

4 plates for the ORA2 package? Thanks for that, I'll have a talk with my dealer but it's been over a year since my purchase in March 2014. It'll be an interesting conversation, I'll see if I have any recourse. Thanks for the info.

Geez, never heard of that happening before, they are big bolts holding those plates on, id be suspicious they weren't done up tightly.

Re: Fun on the sand dunes at Pismo Beach, & front skid plate thrashed

You may be right. When it happened the plate was hanging down, with its front end dug down into the sand and attached by one bolt only. I removed that bolt, it was tight, and then pulled the plate. That was on the dunes, in the sand and there wasn't enough room to spot the other attachment points. I need to go under and look again but it does sound like they may not have been attached well.

Re: Fun on the sand dunes at Pismo Beach, & front skid plate thrashed

Hi again,

I agree with indydof, those plates are held in place by very heavy bolts, in my opinion and after having been in water, sand and mud, is that you might loose only if they were not attached properly, thats very heavy steel we are talking about.
Here is a pic when i was taking off the plastic useless piece that comes standard as underneath protection..and like we all said it serves no purpose if you plan on doing anything outside a paved road, as you can see the plastic has been completely destroyed, and behind it you can see one of the heavy steel plates. I took them all out as after my last trip in the mud they were super dirty, I had mud, grass, and who knows what else I was holding between the plates and the chasis, cleaned them well and installed back.
I now different parts for protection for front and back, as soon as I get a chance I'll take some pics and share them.
