Fuses necessary to get home?

In another thread it was mentioned that the fuel pump fuse failed (loc F70) and the vehicle had to be towed.
It might be wise to carry a short list of "necessary" fuses.
Anybody want to add to:

F70 - fuel pump

Re: Fuses necessary to get home?

Just buy an assortment pack of whatever type fuses are in the box.

Re: Fuses necessary to get home?

Or buy a car that doesn't require you to carry spare fuses.

Sorry...couldn't resist. Seriously is this 1965?

Nothing against your thread, its just ridiculous that owners of a 2014 $30-70k vehicle have to be worried about having backup fuses so they don't get stranded lol. No need to apologize, you didn't build the car.

Tell that to the guy who had to be towed when his fuel pump fuse blew. There are more things being controlled by electrical devices that all need a fuse. It has nothing to do with the price of the vehicle.

Great question IMHO. I never think of carrying extra fuses, but now I will.
It's pretty much something no one expects to happen - then boom you're out of luck!

I'm not saying you shouldn't carry fuses with this car, I'm saying you shouldn't have to worry about this in a modern car. I have *never* had a fuse blow on car...nor have I ever read about people having fuses blow on any of the car forums I've been a part of. Fuses only blow when there is some electrical surge, or some reason for them to blow. "Oh, my fuse just blew" isn't a solution, the fuse blew for a reason.

The electronics should all work...without blowing fuses

You need to read more and write less;

2014 GC Stalled on freeway due to Fuse

If that were the case we wouldn't need fuses.

After a .00000001 second search... electric seat fuse blows

Re: Fuses necessary to get home?

One thing I have wondered is why not circuit breakers? I am a tournament water-skier and every tournament boat I've owned since 1994 has come with a circuit breaker panel vs. a fuse box. Would that be that much more expensive?
