Not if you are just trying to show what is possible under ideal conditions. I don't think anyone is trying to say this is the norm, but it is possible.

This.

My typical full tank MPG with combined hwy/city driving and at more realistic speeds is more like 22 MPG.

Re: FYI-Buy a 2014 V6 for the gas mileage 27.1 mpg!

I'd be very happy with that kind of mileage. My V6 Enclave, about the same weight range, and maybe a little better drag co., gets average mixed mileage in the 16-18 mpg range. I certainly don't have a lead foot. And if your looking for stellar standing 1/4 mile numbers, you're definitely in the wrong kind of vehicle.

What are your thoughts on being able to turn eco on/off in the 2014? It makes a big drivability difference, especially with the 3.6L V6.

Re: FYI-Buy a 2014 V6 for the gas mileage 27.1 mpg!

I haven't had my Jeep that long, but I find eco mode is particularly annoying when the engine isn't fully warmed up. So I always leave in the morning in Sport mode. After a few miles (if I remember) I switch to Drive. It seem alright for the rest of the day.

Wow that's good news, and exactly what I need to hear.

Driving 65 MPH was excruciating but I really wanted to see how good the MPG could get.

Pretty happy.

i posted similar numbers (27.2 mpg hand calculated) with my '11 overland 4x4 last summer on a 135 mile trip (including return trip) avg between 65-70mph the entire trip. typically I'm in the 22-24mpg range at 75mph.

Re: FYI-Buy a 2014 V6 for the gas mileage 27.1 mpg!

I can get 29.5 avg on my 24 mile trip to work... 2011 3.6 4x4. It's part curvy road with hills where I can coast and part hwy, where I average 60 mph. On the way home though I can only get 26-27. I would love the 2014 w/ 8 speeds. My last car, 06 ML359 had 7 speeds on the transmission and felt much more powerful than the Jeep and consistently got 20-22 w mixed driving.
