Re: Gas milage? Post your results!

In Edmonton I get 21.5 L/100km in the cold weather which includes starting it to warm up after night shifts/day shifts and so on. 100% city driving.. It really drinks fuel...no different then my '06 overland.

It should improve in the summer...

Re: Gas milage? Post your results!

On first two tankfuls with V6 (so not yet broken in):
Distance: 940km (583 miles) on 98% highway (mixed 2-lane, and high speed expressway), with snow drag on parts of the route, rain and headlights
Computed by hand with pump slip data: 12.65L/100km (18.35 m/US gal)
EVIC display for the trip: 12.5 L/100km (18.6 m/US gal)

Re: Gas milage? Post your results!

We probably drive 90 percent city but we only get 15 mpg in a v6 2wd with 600 miles on it. Thank God we didn't get the hemi.

Re: Gas milage? Post your results!

The EVIC is not accurate. For my first tank, the EVIC read 17.5 average. When I calculated the mileage divided by the number of gallons I used, it only worked out to 16.5. Do not rely on the EVIC for an accurate reading.

I got 375km on a tank or 233 miles with the hemi!

Re: Gas milage? Post your results!

On my third tank, filled up this mornig on my V6. drove 217 miles 75% city and 25% highway put in 15 gallons so that's about 14.5 mpg. So a little better from my second tank where I averaged around 12.5 mpg. 457 total mile so far. Hpoefully this improves to 16mpg or better over time.

Re: Gas milage? Post your results!

First tank refilled at 1/4 on the gauge at 380 miles. Computer said 19.7 mpg. Calculator said 19.6 mpg. Tank was about 80% highway with lots of rpm variations for break in.
Best trip to work so far is 20.8 mpg. Same trip in my Hemi 2008 would be 15.

I think there is hope here.
