Re: GC purchase in need

I think you also have a cousin in Nigeria who needs your help in getting his $40 million inheritance.

Re: GC purchase in need

I get these letters all the time. I even get letters stating they want some of my various vehicles that I disposed of years ago.

This is nothing but marketing crap. They send those out all the time for every car. I get them for a 2009 Jeep Liberty that I don't even own any longer.

It's fun to see all of the responses

What is the best way to have fun with the dealership in this case ?

Ignore it? The salesperson makes a living by selling cars. Don't waste their or your time.

Re: GC purchase in need

I got one about my '07 Liberty, which was 3 trade-ins ago. It gave the appearance of coming from the dealer where I purchased it. I'm in Delaware, and it was mailed from California. It is a marketing firm selling their services to the dealers. The "hand written" notes are either computer, or the fairly new "writing robot" generated.

Haha. The dealership will know exactly what marketing tool you brought in after showing it. If anything, you would look like the fool trying to actually suggest that the letter has some sort of purchasing power.

Just tear it up and toss it out....

Re: GC purchase in need

Just tell them to come to your house on their own time and appraise it if they want it that bad.. That will end the conversation pretty quickly....

Good one!

To the OP: why do you have to "deal with the dealer" at all about this piece of mass marketing? It's like any other unsolicited junk mail. Ignore it.
