Re: GC - same Jeep quality as always

That was Q5 not A5. Son has A5, and it is a great coupe. I understand the difference, but look at this size SUV (i don't do Japanese) and those 3 are in contention.

i have had Jeeps before, and done the San Juan mountains in Colorado more than once. Don't plan on that with the next vehicle but need at least all wheel drive.

The A4 had both those. I was amazed at the torque of the little 2.0.

Perhaps in years past.

328i: 3.0-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC), 24-valve inline 230-horsepower 6-cylinder engine

335i: 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder, 24-valve 300-hp engine.

It's amazing the numbers they get out of such a "low" hp engine. Torque and gearing = sub 6 sec 0-60.

Same thing for the BMWs, great numbers in the 5 series (no less) with their 4 banger.

As for the OP, with a little bit of effort I bet you can fix it yourself and save a trip to the dealer.

Yeah Turbos will do that for you. The A5 2.0 has a GREAT aftermarket as well to massage alot more out of it if wanted.

Where did they come up with 328 and 335?

Yes it has:
Quote:
2.0-liter, dual overhead cam (DOHC), 16-valve, 240-hp inline 4-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, High Precision Direct Injection
My wife's is an '11 328 sedan and it has the six. Apparently the '12 328 sedan is the 4 banger, and the '12 328 coupe is the 6.

I don't want to spend alot of money and get alot of problems. Are there owners on this forum that can give honest opinions of their ownership experiences with Jeep? Thanks, I'm starting to have second thoughts about my decision.
Ive owned a v6 overland and currently a v8 overland with just under 20k miles. No problems.
