^^I couldn't imagine the WK2 with 20" rims. Maybe on the next redesign it'll be more fitting but you have to remember the WK2 is somewhat new to being such a good road queen.
More foot rest area around the stupid foot park brake. People with big feet can relate on long haul drives. As well as spare tire relocate under the vehicle so a third row seating is an option.
I agree I have to get it just right or my shin is on the parking brake. I didn't experience this at all in my multiple test drives. It's my biggest annoyance about the thing now
I too dislike the parking brake. I wish it had an electrically operated parking brake.
I know it's available on some models, but I wish my Limited had electrically folding mirrors. IMO, they should at least be available as an option on all trim levels.
It would be nice if the U Connect App could do more, such as HVAC control.
My wife is a petite person and needs running boards. Rather than the add-ons currently available, I would like to have factory-installed retracting running boards on my next GC.
Overall I can't think of much I wish my Summit had that it doesn't already have. If I had to come up with something, I sort of wish the power liftgate button was down near the headlight switch instead of up near the overhead console. as mentioned above, I also wish manufacturers would start coming out with an all open/all close one touch button for the Windows. Also a vent mode would be cool. Ever park and have to use 5 seperate switches to close everything, or if your cruising with everything open and a call comes in. How easy would it be to press one single "all close" button? Vent mode would be cool for when you have to park outside on a hot summer day and it puts all the side windows down about an inch all evenly.
Lane departure warning with the ability to turn it off or on. I would use as a safety feature in the event of falling asleep. It hasn't happened to me but obviously it could happen. I would turn it on if feeling tired for extra safety margin.
A few of the things mentioned will likely be addressed with the next generation platform, if not before.
I'd like to see "rear hatch foot control", electronic eBrake, and AirPlay features on my next JGC for sure. Most importantly...I want a light-colored (ivory/beige) interior available in the Summit trim level. I so hate dark interiors. A. Lot. The saddle interior I have now is "tolerable", but has a lot more black than I prefer to have and have to try and keep clean as well as absorb the sun's heat. A "delete" roof rack entirely with a clean look (no inset strips) would also be of interest to me.
Yup, this would be the biggest thing I would add. I've had far more poor experiences then good experiences with dealers. I'm lucky enough to live close to Koons here in the DC area and they're pretty good. Every other one I've been to has been pretty awful. I previously had an Infiniti and the parents had a Range Rover, both dealerships were amazing...every time, no exceptions. I understand they're completely different vehicles BUT if Jeep is starting to jump into the higher end market they need to step up here!
1. HVAC as separate physical controls, not a separate uconnect screen
2. better quality leather seats/side bolsters
3. beefier infotainment (laggy) system w/ carplay or android auto
4. fog lamps that actually match the headlights
5. less exterior faux-chrome ugh
next gen
1) a continuation of a Indigo interior option
2) hope they don't go with the a "triangular" design for the rear windows
3) e-brake
4)find a way to stuff all of those new airbags into smaller pillars to improve visibility all around
5) DITCH the plastic seat panels on the rear of the front seats
6)keep on designing a great looking SUV, we can deal with chrome.. its WAY better than that cheap rubbery matte black looking stuff.. go with a high gloss.

Here here, Jeeps are not rice cars with cheap looking black accents and wheels. Painted silver/gunmetal and polished alloys and chrome look much better, were not buying 90's vintage riced out civics LOL
Sensors for rear doors for keyless entry
Auto-down for rear windows
Sport-tuned suspension for non-SRT models
Improved braking
Less weight with direct impact to better performance and fuel economy
Improved (front) seating
External button for (front) heated/cooled seats
Summit model, please no more wood steering wheel
Better quality material(s) in center console
Not a top priority but would like to see the following.

I'll +1 this stuff. They need redundant buttons for heated seats/steering wheel and other climate controlled stuff. Leave the screen for nav, radio and menu options.
In addition: Move the rear hatch close button to the end of the hatch instead of making me reach back inside the car to close the hatch. My BIL's Explorer and friend's Range Rover both have the button on the hatch and I still reach it there even after 8 months of owning the Jeep.
My wish list concludes of a dedicated self defense semi auto. My 6 shot 357 revolver home defense gun may not cut it out away from home, speed loaders and all
HUD and the ability to see what MP3 (or radio-station info) is currently playing on the speedometer screen. Without title and artist, just displaying "Sirius XM" or "SD-Card" doesn't cut it.
Better smart phone integration. All I really want is a head unit that is a blank screen that will essentially mirror my phone. No need for all this proprietary stuff on Uconnect.
Album Art displaying
Electronic parking brake
Ability to vent sunroof but not necessarily move the shade all the way back
Rain sensing rear wiper. I always find the rear wiper on cars moves too fast.
Better options for spare change storage. I keep mine in a small tupperware bowl in arm rest. I prefer to be able to keep it in an ashtry like compartment.
Move rear power lift button. Foot activated button too.
Ability to have radio playing while doors are open. How am I suppose to listen to music when I am detailing my car while that stupid ass chime is going off constantly when driver door is open?
Better quality covering for center console. Scratches too easily
Better quality rubber/plastic on doors. Gets scuffed too easily
Lane Departure Warning
Paddle shifts shouldn't require two clicks to down shift when I need to use it real quick to pass.
I'd also like a "rest" function that keeps the car cabin warm if you are only going to be out of the car for like 30 minutes in cold weather. It basically kept the heat on after you got out of the car. Worked really nice for those trips to the grocery store in frigid temps when I had my Touareg.
The ability to have the heated seats on WITHOUT the engine running. It would be great for the ferry....two hours that you're not allowed to run the engine.....but, a great time for a nap......at least it was in the '08. Did that at least 100 times in 4 years with NO issues.
It shouldn't be too hard for it to go into "electric blanket mode" to save power, but still provide heat.
Electric blankets don't run steadily. They ramp up, heat for a bit, then ramp back down. They repeat this anywhere from every 5 seconds to as little as every 30 seconds, depending upon how high the dial is set.
All they would need to do is run a few degress above luke-warm to keep you comfortable.
Agreed. The carpet also gets scuffed, but In My Non-Humble Opinion, it just looks better--event scuffed.
Depending on your dealer, you might be able to get freebies by pointing out the scuff to the service writer or manager.
Those Mr Clean magic sponges work fantastic for getting rid of them. Sometimes a drop of very dilute Woolite or similar helps. Plus you might get a free oil change or similar.
