Re: Getting rid of the GC for a Renegade, NOT

I'm envious of the Rubicon 10A/X wheels. If they made a set like that for my JGC, I would buy them immediately. A few members here have them on their JGCs and they look fantastic. I can't put them on mine because the V8s and Diesels have larger brake calipers that require an 18"+ wheel.

I am also envious of the availability of orange, yellow, Anvil, and maybe some of the other colors (I haven't seen them yet).

Lastly, I am not sure if I would want a removable roof like the My Sky on the GC (I love it on the Wrangler, obviously), but I definitely wish that I could open up the panoramic roof the entire way.

Re: Getting rid of the GC for a Renegade, NOT

This may be one vehicle that either does really well or flops. Depends on price point I suppose as this vehicle is aimed at the younger crowd who don't have as much money for expensive vehicles since employment is still low relatively speaking. I wish it well, even if it looks a tad "toyish" but not quite as fake as a Hummer.

Plus I think it looks good head on and from the rear. Profile shape and front 3/4 look a bit odd in the pictures, but not offensive.

My daughter thinks this is the coolest ride ever! She has me seeing the cute in it too now Of course she's still way to young to drive, but she is already an absolute Mopar lover!

Re: Getting rid of the GC for a Renegade, NOT

of course you would not trade a GC for this. or you will probably need to get your head checked.

although anyone who bought one of those awful cherokees should trade it for this.

id love for my wife to own one so i could drive it but would never want one for my own.

Re: Getting rid of the GC for a Renegade, NOT

It looks pretty cool overall. I am glad Jeep has it. If it is less money than the mini countryman et al then maybe it will be a hit.
it is mostly aimed at the urban world and that is fine. Jeep needs to get into the game in multiple segments and they have unique angle with the Jeep heritage.
Sure if you like GCs like I do you won't get into this much but hey there is a large group of people who need something this size and would like a cool option to get into a Jeep.

The Grand Cherokee and Wrangler are doing great so Jeep will be OK. I've never liked the mini Jeeps and the first photo I saw from the side I was it is a Kia Soul a little higher off the ground - so I looked up other Fiat models to see what was based on maybe. I really hope it does well...for the Jeep brand.

I suppose the "purists" that love Wranglers don't think a Grand Cherokee is a "Jeep" either.... Oh well, the debate goes on.

Re: Getting rid of the GC for a Renegade, NOT

I like it. Depending on the interior room, I would definitely consider it for a second car.
