Glove Compartment Light

Anyone have a suggestion on how to put the bulb back in the socket? I took it
out with the intention of replacing it with a LED but now can't get either one back in.
I can only get one finger on the bulb and short of taking the whole dash off I
don't see an easy way to get at the back of the opening where the bulb sits.

Re: Glove Compartment Light

Funny you mention this. . . . same thing happened to me I tried to use the 194 (w5w) led I bought for license plate that didnt fit and ran into the same problem. It looks like the switch assembly might come out but didnt want to force it and break it.

Re: Glove Compartment Light

I thought the same thing about the switch coming out into the passenger
compartment but couldn't find the tab that would release it. My finger is
just too big.............

Re: Glove Compartment Light

To answer my own question I took it to my dealer and they had to remove the glove compartment. Took about 30 minutes.

Re: Glove Compartment Light

Sorry for late response, and not sure if this would provide access to the bulb or not, but the glove compartment tray pops out of its hinges somewhat easily.

Can't quite recall specifics, but remember first removing top shelf then pushing both upper ends in toward each other and pulling tray towards passenger seat for removal. Reinstall was also reasonably easy.
