Re: Good lease deal for 2011? Please help!

If you get a new vehicle every few years, leasing is a good alternative. IF you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time, buy rather than lease. At the end of the lease, you turn it in and have nothing. Buying costs more in monthly payments but you own it at the end, and can keep or sell it.

Not necessarily true.

Depending on the lease deal you negotiate (especially the residual price and money factor) you can come out the same, better, or worse than purchasing (depending on how you negotiate that deal). And it also comes down to how long you keep the vehicle and market conditions.
You can buy out your lease and sell it too.

Re: Good lease deal for 2011? Please help!

third time. First time i bought outright (no financing), 2nd was a lease where i got taken to the cleaner, third is this.

YOu think $369 is possible with $753 down? Feel like I should get the Laredo x now if this particular dealership is getting so agressive on the laredo e. But sticking with the e as i don't need/desire the leather and other options on x.

I'll see what I can do to get closer ot $369 month.

no luck. the guy was basically saying it is $600 below invoice already. Still feel like it is a very good deal so going to get it through him. Thanks for all the advice! Will be picking it up later Friday.

But is it $600 below invoice + $1000 rebate making your price $1600 below invoice, because that's what you should be getting.

Re: Good lease deal for 2011? Please help!

I think that's a pretty good deal, but again it depends on current incentives, etc. I leased a Laredo X with NAV, Pana Roof, and 15,000 miles per and paid around $100 more per month. I give taxes/tags upfront. My sticker was about $39,000. I almost leased a Limited since the sticker was high, but the residual was much lower for some reason on the limited and it would cost me $150 more per month. The differences in the two weren't worth it to me.
