Re: Good Price for V8 Overland

These are the current prices.

MSRP 46195
Invoice 43940

ADG
1995
1776

Hemi
3195
2844

Looking at the sticker I can tell it is an early (before price increase) Overland. Be sure to test drive the Jeep and make sure everything works well because some of the early models had some teething issues.
Clearly a very good price.

Here is where you should look...

Thanks! Anything in particular to be on the lookout for? I've read about the "christmas tree" lights, but I suppose the real test is to actually get in and give it a test drive.

Check build date. I wouldn't touch one built before august.

I'm sure the Jeeps out there on lots with an early build date have had updates, and all the issues fixed.

Don't be discouraged, granted yes there have been some stories on this website. If the numbers look good, you like the vehicle make sure the dealer has done all the TSB's and recall notices on it and you will be fine.

Enjoy buying your Jeep!

Re: Good Price for V8 Overland

The only thing that might make you think about the build date is the option to have quadra lift go into exit/entry mode automatically. The early builds do not, a will not, have this option available. If I had it I'm not sure I would use it since I am usually out the door as soon as the car stops. Pushing the button as you approach your parking spot has the car lowered when you get there.

My March build had a few glitches. All have been solved with a few dealer visits, none lasting more than a couple of hours.

I thought the older builds only had ACC w/ out stop. Is that just a software update or does it require a 2014.5 build?

Re: Good Price for V8 Overland

Regarding ACC no you cannot retrofit the full stop to the FCW system. I asked a while back and discovered it was not possible...

Re: Good Price for V8 Overland

Well, after talking with the dealership a bit raised some red flags. Price listed on their website wasn't really the price. Additionally, it was a demo vehicle for the GM w/ somewhere upwards of 5,000 miles, for $2-3k more than they said the price actually was, I could go with one of the quotes I got from other dealerships without the miles.

Felt like a bait and switch along with terrible reviews about their service department, continuing my search with other dealerships.

I'd say that the age old saying "if it's too good to be true" applies.
