Not sure, unless you need bigger car but you would never get twin turbo fun of 335 on Jeep. That is why I keep my G37 and Jeep and I am thinking of trading my G on new 335 coupe soon. Jeep will work hard winter time, shopping, fishing & other hobby travels. I like v6, and the way they did this model but still not sports car ...enjoy!

Ultimate for what? The entire family of 6 drivers say yes for our 325 on the dry or even wet street. No so much for when things get snowy. Don't even try off road excursions.

I hear the newest Volvos have been troublesome, but that may just be a rumor. I almost bought one two years ago, but the spouse liked the color of the Liberty better. The Liberty has been a trouble free vehicle, just a nail in the tire. Not quite the same material and functional quality/performance as the current GC but the build quality seems top notch, and it did cost $23,000 less than the GC.

Which Volvo were you looking at? Asking because some are better than others...and there have been particular models and engines that have been pretty bad from what I've read. I went with the S40 because it was several years since an update and I'm hoping the bugs have been worked out.

When we were in the market for an SUV, we did test drive an XC90 and we thought it was nice...but it was too much like a tall station wagon and the electronics were a bit dated. We would have also had to buy used to be at the same price point as we were on the Jeep GC.

Of course, now I have a Jeep that's a first year model on a redesign...

Don't know about any given Jeep but I have more fun in my Jeep GC SRT/8 than in my wife's 335xi.

He is not getting SRT and I believe it is big difference. To me one car can't provide full enjoyment especially truck. I like both only.

My tradein - buyout amount was the same as the kbb trade-in value for the BMW. So it worked out nicely. Im sure i still got screwed over a thousand or two for sure somewhere in the deal but whatever.

No Bimmers in my garage for over 10 years; BMW has still not completely recovered from their infamous (Chris) Bangle-butt issue, IMHO.
I agree, though the new 5 series is really nice. the 2012 3 should be very similar as well. I wonder what happenned to the site "ihatechrisbangle.com" ....

Anyway, yeah i wasnt crazy about the x5, or the VW touareg (I have a VAG product - a 2010 audi a3, that im not very excited about.. plus i think VW is simply not a great company when it comes to customer service). So here we are, a JEEP.. the original 4x4 that started it all.

I test drive a few CPO 3 series cars back in 2009 and while I liked them I went with a Volvo S40 instead...cost for new was the same as the 2YO CPO BMWs and it seemed like the Volvo would be more reliable. The S40 has been a decent ride, and time will tell on the reliability front but I've only had one significant repair under warranty so far.
The 3 series is truly a drivers car. the 50/50 weight distribution is unmatched in the industry. Plus i like the fact that BMW is a small company, the owners respect each other and the service is excellent - so is the buying experience. It all adds up to the overall experience of having one. The are not too powerful (0-60 wise), but they handle like a dream for everyday driving, the twisties and even on the track.

Ill get another bimmer again someday, but not an SUV. When i grow up, it'll be a M3 convertible

The 335 coupe is awesome. Btw, im a diehard bmw fan. I will say, that the 328 engine is smoother than the 335i. Less power, but instantaneous power and smoooooth. Especially if you get a stick. I had both engines (a coupe and a sedan) - i preferred the 328 over the 335 hands down.

Sweet!

Not sure again, 335 having great twin turbo advantage. Lots of torque making this car much faster than 328. Depends what you like, but I wouldn't change my G on 328 as well.

True and yes its much faster. But the point is that the 328 isint slow - very fast in its own right, better gas mileage, and better weight distribution overall. I too got the 335 twinturbo (and for the first couple of months i was in love).. But overtime, you start noticing the turbo lag in the engine, and just how much smoother the NA engine is with a manual tranny. anyway. dont want to make this is bimmer thread, but good luck whatever you decide to get.
