Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

$60k F150...Ford is going crazy with their pricing. They rode the "we didn't need a bailout" line for a while and looks like they are still clinging to it. (They just borrowed billions before the s hit the fan.)

I believe the OP is in Canada hence the price disparity.

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

The F150 is a great truck and the ecoboost V6 is a no-brainer. Its pricey though and just too damn big for my needs.

The fact that he was talking about "kms" on his Jeep should have been a dead giveaway.

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

LOL...yeah I'm in Edmonton, Alberta,Canada. Prices jump north of 49. Tear! But yeah $60k was the price of the FX4 ecoboost supercrew with appearance/luxury package before the discounts.

A 2012 Overland on trader.ca goes for $59k...ridiculous. 2013 SRT8s go for $66k.. I paid just over $50k for my Overland back in October 2010. I bet you can take $5k off the sticker but that'd still come in more then what I paid plus the loss on my loan. I ate about $1k as mentioned earlier for the Ford...I would've lost that plus around $8k if I chose a newer Overland. No thank you!

I'll be back for the redesign...but a year later...Jeep fan for life...need a truck right now for other needs...

Thanks for the positive words...I thought I'd be attacked endlessly on here for choosing the Ford...to be honest...I really like the F150s...designers have done a great job with the trucks and the reviews are great. One great vehicle to another...

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

The WK2 started rolling out down here last year so most of us have been fortunate in that most of the "1st model" bugs were resolved (to a point) on US soil in 2010. That said there are a few down here who are stuck with absolute lemons and their testing Chrysler's metal in the courts.

As someone here has already said, you should never buy the 1st of any model but that's always easier said than doen when either a lease is due to expire and the bloody thing looks so purrrrty!

Anyhow, with the exception of a minor rattle in the passenger seat and a rattling / chatting hood latch, as a 1st timer for anything Jeep, I am very happy with my CRD.

America is the only country who uses miles. Its not all that of a "giveaway"

Canada often charges about 20K more for cars then we can buy them for.

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

When will you yanks finally accept metric like the rest of us?

In fact at one point you did convert metric with the rest of the world but the voter backlash was so harsh your yella belly politicians of the day back-flipped and reverted to imperial!

Makes it hard for us in international logistics when we use m3 and Kgs and you guys still use cubic feet lbs that we have to convert! Imperial is such a
