Dude, we still can't get free heath care over here. Do you think doing something as simple as going metric is apart of the American way?

Don't know if you know this but our cars have KMH under the MPH numbers..... and some newer cars can change their temps and other settings to celsius. That is the best we are going to do

When I was in school 35 years ago they told us it would be just a short while. Then some State changed a few speed limit signs from 65 to 100 and all hell broke loose.

If you go to the right dealer you can pay close to invoice on a Raptor, I got 4.5k off sticker for mine.

Love it! I could just imagine the hillbillies in that State hitting 110 MPH!! (the reasonable police down here try give a 10% variation to the letter of the law)

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

We are really raped up here, my Overland had a sticker of $59K and I was able to get $4300 off with my Fleet discount (no better) I took it in the dealer this week to trade and find out the Black Book for my '12 Overland with only 8K kims on it was only work $43K Needless to say I brought it back home.

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

Congrats on your new truck. Sounds like your Overland was a total POS. Don't listen to fanboi haters. I do not blame you one bit! Stick around, let us know how the Ford dealer experience compares to Chryco...if the Ford ever gets any problems, that is.

My Jeep is at 8600 miles and trouble free..I absolutely love it. That being said, I know the Chrysler dealers suck in general from past experience.

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

I have often stated my love affair with Ford, but I think his problems with his Jeep was only on his Jeep only. If I was in his shoes and loved the Jeep overall, I would have just bought the same car.

Re: Goodbye HEMI, Hello Ecoboost

Pros/cons vs the WK2? How does it handle/maneuver compared to the WK2?

I can't attest to the F150, but I traded my 07 Expedition in for my Jeep. The expedition shares the front end but the rear suspension trades the solid axle for IRS, and mine had self-leveling air springs in the back as well. So you'd expect the Expedition to handle better than the Jeep.

There isn't even a comparison. The Ford rode a bit better on the highway and was a tad quieter but it's also a lot heavier. It's a lot bigger so "nimble" isn't even part of its vocabulary. It's wider, longer and taller and a bear to fit into a parking space. Although a very capable vehicle and sure-footed handling is best described as "ponderous". It barely fit in my garage; passengers on the right side had to load after backing it out. With the Jeep I can even keep the rear hatch open while opening or closing the garage door.
