Re: Got Key Fob to open Flipper Glass

Thank you for the link and info! If I was to not care about the graphic for the rear glass release button, would it be possible to remove the contact and add it to my current fob and "polished" rubber?

This is the link for just the rubber cover for the 2011-2013 models. This link to buy two at a reduced price.

If you need a replacement case as well, here.

For complete fobiks with electronics for keyless entry vehicles, here. You may have to have them entered via the Starscan tool.

I have received mine and they work. The rubber is a bit rougher, without the same "polished" finish as the original, but it's not a major issue.

Re: Got Key Fob to open Flipper Glass

As that was the original topic for this thread, I would assume so. Just go back to the first page and follow the instructions from the OP.

Re: Got Key Fob to open Flipper Glass

So, a few months later and the "rough black" rubber has worn smooth with use and looks just like the original now (with the addition of one extra button). No issues.

Re: Got Key Fob to open Flipper Glass

My singular complaint is that the white markings on the replacement rubber cover have worn substantially and quickly.

Re: Got Key Fob to open Flipper Glass

This cover includes the small metal discs as well? I lost one. Anyone know if you can get a replacement?

Re: Got Key Fob to open Flipper Glass

I took mine apart just to check this out and found that there are (4) places where the metal disc could make a contact with a copper ring.

Does anyone know what the bottom right corner does?

Update: They arrived. I installed them and they just work! The rubber is a bit "blacker" than the OEM, and the white silk-screening is a bit brighter and bolder. Not an issue....
Thank you for posting this! I have been "living with" not having the lock function on my FOB for a while. I have no idea where the little metal circle thing went. Now I have the lock back and flipper glass. I have no idea when I would use the flipper glass but, I have it.
