Yeah I dont know about that. Adaptive cruise control has actually been out for a long time now but its just starting to get into a little more affordable cars. I bet pilots said the same thing when fly by wire systems and much more advanced autopilots started becoming the norm. Now pilots only touch the flight controls for maybe 5% of a typical flight. Im not saying for driving to get anything like this, but if people always kept that kind of mentality we would be stuck in the stone age. Dont get me wrong I see what your saying, but its more of a safety package than anything else and as someone else said before I bet you that myself personally, I will be a less aggressive driver now that I will simply set the cruise and let it do its thing instead of me passing cars, resetting the cruise, braking, change lanes, pass another car, reset the cruise etc etc. Set it once and just sit back :-) Really is a great tool/feature
