Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Got the Tazer, everything works fine, here is a sample of the lightshows:

Only have one question..when in motion how do I choose which show I want ?...it works well, but not sure when in motion how to change them.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

There is an option you have to unlock while you have the tazer connected via USB to the computer. I do not know which keys you press, but once you press these keys, an option magically appears to enable you to use the light show while the car is in motion.

I think I read it somewhere in this thread.

I think he has in-motion unlocked, he's asking how to change between the different light shows while driving.

Thanks TEXT, I already got the answer..what you mention is to activate the lightshow..and what I was talking about is that after having it activated and while driving how can you switch thru the different light shows..and the answer is that it CANNOT be done, not choosable while driving, what you can do is with the ZAP program choose one as default with the TAZER hooked to the computer..and I guess thats the one that will play when in motion, havent tried it yet but that is what I was told.
Rgds.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Not possible (to my knowledge). You can select the preset lightshow in the ZPU and the in motion will automatically start on that show. I dont believe youre able to scroll through the shows while in motion.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Got my Tazer yesterday and messed with it a decent amount. Pretty cool tool! Some of the items I wanted to change were no fog light drop when highs activated (I drive a fair amount at night and this is useful to me). No DRL drop when turn signals activated. I activated the SRT screens which is awesome!
The light shows are really neat, but I'm finding it difficult, or atleast unreliable using the keyfob. It pretty much never activated using the fob and I'm 100% doing the right button sequence.
One question I have regarding force RWD. I tried it last night while I was stopped and when I activated it I felt a very slight nudge so I was confident it works. Can this in anyway be harmful for any components in my Jeep such as the transfer case or anything? If this really sets it to rwd only that would be awesome for the majority of the year where awd is not needed. Maybe there will even be a slight fuel economy advantage as well?

Thanks for any additional info. So far I really like it!

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

So playing more with the Tazer and this things awesome. So I found out that force RWD for sure works. So I was using the SRT performance pages and wanted to attempt a 0-60 run in RWD only mode. To my surprise the rear tires lit up on the launch hahah. I didn't think my little V6 could do that. So I did it again in awd and it went just fine. According to the dash I achieved 7.8 second which is pretty much as advertised. I'm gonna run for a tank in RWD and see if it nets me any mpg's.

In addition to the RWD mode and SRT gauges, I changed it so my fogs don't turn off with high beams, LED DRLs don't turn off with turn signals, and the light shows are awesome.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Those SRT gauges look great, hopefully tazer will get an update so the 16-17 models will get them unlocked. Everything has been working fine.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

HD Rollin, If my car did not change the gauges to SRT gauges, I would have returned it honestly. DRL drop out and fog drop out are not worth the price tag. Yes you get force RWD and those other options but how often do you use it? I hope that they soon release an update, for the sake of 2017 owners to unlock the SRT gauges.

The gauges are cool but don't do anything different to my car, just the looks but it does provide that cool feature of 0-60, 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile, 60-0 braking distance and also live active G-Force display.

In my 5.7, I was able to achieve 7.0 0-60. That was my one and only try so far, with an uphill for the first 3 seconds of that (I was on a merge onto a highway). I also put it in sport mode and manually shifted with the paddles. I want to look for another spot I can just punch it, leave it in sport mode on a level surface. I should be able to get in the 6's.

The one main reason I bought it was for the Nav in motion and the front DVD in motion, in other brand vehicles to buy a "LOCK PIC" that will provide the Nav in motion cost about the same. And with the Lock pic that's all you get. With the Tazer I get the DRL and fog drop out.

I knew this device was for 2014-15 year models when I bought it and already figured the gauges wouldn't work on mine since I read they didn't on the 2016 models.

I'm very happy with the purchase and seeing that it's update-able I know it's just a matter of time before I'll get all the features.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Public Service Announcement....

If you have a MP2010 Transfer case (AWD Models), meaning qt1....the Force RWD Does NOT work. You may think it is, but it isnt. Confirmed with ZAutotech after realizing my RIPP Supercharged Altitude was roasting the fronts while launching.

Much disappoint.

Interesting, which vehicles would have that transfer case? I have a 2015 High Altitude V6 4x4 and I am almost certain force RWD works. I floored it from a stop once and the rear tires lit up. I was actually very surprised with this since I just have the little V6. I'm currently in the process of doing some fuel economy tests to see if RWD only has any effect whatsoever.

Edit: just looked at my window sticker and says my particular vehicle has quadra-trac II.
