Can the 2017's do that? Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

I think that post was implying that yes, they can. Factory. For 10 seconds at a time lol
I personally don't know. Overlanding is right, I don't know what I'm talking about

I have no idea what that it means. Any more info on how to do that?

I'm looking forward to playing around with this thing. Of course the day it shows up is the day I leave town. I'll try and get it set up/take some videos to post next week

He means run Windows in a virtual machine using something like VMWare Fusion or Parallels (assuming you're on a Mac). Many of us do that to be sure we can run certain applications that just are not available for MacOS. It's like having "another computer in your computer"...

With the 2017, you can turn on the rear camera while you are driving forward (probably with a dedicated switch).

With the 2016 (and possibly 2015), the camera only comes on when you put it in Reverse. There is a setting in uconnect that can be turned on or off, to keep the camera on for a few more seconds after shifting to Drive. But once it turns off, the only way to get it back on is to shift back to Reverse.

I hope this clears it up for you.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Reverse camera - with the Tazer, you can double-click 'mute' and turn on the rear camera when not in reverse. It only works up to 10mph or so since Jeep cuts the power to the camera (you would have to re-wire to get it to stay on at speed)
