Not with my jeep, but with some of my other vehicles I've been asked if I had a tuner because their computer could read any time I had made changes or cleared codes.

Pretty sure most ECM's have a history stored that could alert techs or aftermarket programmers.

I could be wrong.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Technically, the Tazer doesn't alter PCM programming. It only gives limited access/controls to a few items that are already programmed in at the manufacturer. I don't see where there would be any concern.

Which items are you referring to? The transfer case items, lighting items, or instrument panel items?

I re-read the companies site and understand now that it's just turning on programs that are already there so nothing new is written to the ECM.

I also wrote to the company asking about a model for '17 Grand Cherokees and they responded with this:
Quote:
I haven’t updated the website, but I know of two people that have tried the Tazer on a 2017 Jeep, and it works the same as it does in the 2016. This is with the current model. Line Lock, force RWD, nav in motion, light shows. They also turned on SRT with some success of some added screens, though I’m not sure how well those worked.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

I got my Tazer yesterday, havent tried it yet.

I updated firmware and supposedly its ready to go, I'm leaving in 2 days to a week of offoading, dont want to mess up anything before going so upon return I'll play with it and see what happens and what can and cant be done.
Rgds.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

I have a 16 High Altitude and hardly any of the SRT funtions work. The only thing of the SRT that works is forced RWD. The gauges and performance pages don't work. The problem with being in the SRT mode is that it disabled my quadra lift and quadra trac II. It would stay in the driving height position and would not lower when you park and you can't do it manually either. It also turned off the quadra trac II, the LED showing which mode you're in is off. I didn't try the line lock but I did a decent burnout with my 4x4 lol.
I'm hoping that they'll get it working on the 16+ once they get to work on one.

Re: Got the Tazer, now what?

Any word on what time the newest version of the Tazer firmware is going to be available?
Or a list of what it will include?
