GX is a good vehicle, certainly would be the most reliable.

LOL! The Evoque looks like nothing else on the road, and doesn't resemble any Ford. You can say you don't like the look, it is unique, but it doesn't look like a Ford any more than a WK2 looks like an Acura.

Have some semblence of objectivity...
Funny you say it looks like a Ford...the Engine in that car comes from Ford.

Re: Grand Cherokee or Range Rover Evoque?

The Evoque is like a Stripper - incredibly sexy, high maintenance, and unreliable.

The JGC is a great wife - good looking, a great partner, reliable.

The Evoque is very much a high maintenance girl - it doesn't eat much, gets upset if you don't valet, only takes expensive things, everyone around you wants to be inside it, and eventually you replace it with a newer model at a very high total cost, but you look at pictures of it posing and think to yourself "WORTH IT!"

The Jeep is the good wife - looks good, ready for adventure, but eats a lot and has a lot of emissions coming out of the tailpipe, people on the street don't do everything possible to get inside it, its a little heavy and slow, but does a great job carrying around kids. It eventually has a catastrophic meltdown and leaves you wondering wtf happened as you try to pick up the pieces.

It certainly does have a ford Edge shape to it from the front. I'm not sure why you're getting so defensive about it?

Uh, you should either cut back on strippers, or marry better. Just sayin.

Re: Grand Cherokee or Range Rover Evoque?

I've got a Land Rover LR3. I'm trading it for a 14 GC. I love the LR3, it's an awesome car and has amazing off-road abilities, but I can't afford the maintenance anymore. Something new goes wrong almost every month and it costs a fortune to have it worked on. I love the capabilities, style, and feel of the land rover products, but I'll never own another one because of the reliability issues.

BTW, anyone who wants to buy an '06 LR3, PM me.

Re: Grand Cherokee or Range Rover Evoque?

I've never seen an Evoque or whatever it's called. Is that the one they advertise on TV with the loud music and the giant gerbils driving around in it?

They might be giant hamsters. Not sure.

Re: Grand Cherokee or Range Rover Evoque?

Had a friend say he wanted to get off the Land Rover Merry go round.

Said they depreciate so bad that the only way to get rid of them is to trade them in to the dealer for a better price, but only if they buy another Land Rover.

Love the look of the Evoque, the you can't see out of the dang things. They styling makes you feel like you are in a dark cave. Much smaller than a Grand Cherokee, more like a Liberty.
