Good to know, but there was no where to go. I did the right thing. Swerving if it still results in hitting them could result in a more likely rollover situation. This was going to be head on. If I had swerved I would have slid sideways into the entire side of their car. There were cars in the way the other way and that was the direction their car was turning (my right) so no way to go there.

Edit: It's probably obvious from the above, but you should also NOT fixate on what you're trying to avoid cause you'll steer toward it.
