Oops. I have a 2011 GC Limited. Anything out there for that vehicle?

Re: Grand Cherokee Shocks

2string1,
Is the QL the same for the overland as a Laredo.
I am awaiting My fourth set of shocks.
I have been told that this is unusual as the issue with the shocks has been rectified.
If all the QL shocks are the same and there is a back order for 700 sets then WOW the are a lot of un road worthy jeeps out there.

The easiest way would be to get a bigger tire with a fatter sidewall. If you have 20" rims, this would mean going down to 18's, but making up the difference with a sidewall.

other than that, its a suspension overhaul...springs/shocks
well I don't know how much experience you have with suspensions, but to say shocks do very little for ride quality is laughable. the shocks are what controls your compression and rebound of the spring and the shock rates and spring rates must be matched for optimal ride.

now I do agree that more side wall will help with ride quality at the expense of feel and response. when I went from the stock 17's (MY 2008 Laredo) to the 20's my ride quality stayed about the same. but what I got was better road feel and steering response

Re: Grand Cherokee Shocks

Supple!? Supple is used to describe skin, leather, etc. I'm not sure I would use it to describe the Jeep's ride. It almost sounds dirty.

Re: Grand Cherokee Shocks

I find my 2014 diesel limited with OA2 wallows over undulations. Shocks provide the damping that stops that sort of thing, they are the major element of ride feel. My Eibach Pro equipped Passat was much more stable on undulating road, it never felt like I was going to get launched off slight dips at 65mph. Shocks keep your tires in contact with the road on rough corners, accelerating on rough roads sometimes triggers traction control because these shocks are too soft to do that job. Most of the time I don't notice, so I'd rather beat Jeep to death with the appallingly poor 8.4" nav system that a soft shock.

Re: Grand Cherokee Shocks

Isn't dirty what true Jeeps are all about? At least on the outside, while you might get dirty on the inside from time to time.

A good car wash and interior detail make it back into the civilized people mover they are used to seeing in your driveway.

I just want to be able to make it through a cold Winters pot holed roads without comparing the ride to an old wooden roller coaster.
