A lot of them are made in US.

While that is true, (especially with the X-5), it's still euro designed trash. With problems to match.

Re: Grand Cherokee vs the new Range Rover Sport

Jeep doesn't ask for 80-150,000 for their vehicles then parade their company around likes its full of excellence when the company is full actually of S##t. If you're asking that much for vehicles you should expect to ride in it on a regular basis not get rental cars from the dealer on a regular basis because it's in a service bay broken instead of at your home working.

Every one knows that American made vehicles are Pure Excellence with absolutely No Faults, flaws, or issues. They are perfect in every way and never suffer a single problem...

NOT!

So what are you saying? If I am paying 50k for a jeep it should be flawless? You know that's not the case obviously, every car breaks down regardless of the price. I turned down the JGC twice when I leased for the last 6 years, once for an Infiniti and now for the X5 just because of what I am reading on this forum. Now will be my 3rd attempt in 2017 and hopefully I can convince myself to get the Jeep this time around. My X5 was 10k more than the JGC Summit, so we are not comparing exotic prices here just 10k. What that 10k gets me is a loaner not a rental in case something goes wrong, free maintenance and 4/50k warranty. Obviously I am paying for it, but to me it's worth having argue with the dealer about parts, rentals and wasted time. I call the dealer they pick up the car from my house and drop off an equivalent X5 and bring it back when it's done.

Re: Grand Cherokee vs the new Range Rover Sport

No,what I'm saying is that these euro automakers should put more into their quality care and vehicle maintenance if they're gonna ask for a lot of cash for their product. ALL auto companies should but when you're spending 80 plus...you expect a better product then watching it being towed away on a regular basis. The ride height of these vehicles is different when it's on the back of a flatbed tow truck with its yellow lights flashing.

Not only that. The average American keeps a new car today for 11+ years. How much of this 11 year old euro trash do you see running next to you when you pull up to a stoplight? It's all but non existent. That's not because of their stellar quality and dependability. My gas grill has more mileage on it than an 11 year old BMW, that's spent 2/3rds of it's life on a rack at the dealer. But then again, I've got a big patio.

Re: Grand Cherokee vs the new Range Rover Sport

I wouldn't want to drive an 11 year old American car to begin with, bigger problem i see here is eating food from a 11 year old grill I hope your big patio doesn't burn down because of that old grill.

You're doing much the equivalent by driving a European one that's only a year or two old. By then it's most likely had more time in the service bay.
