You must remember that price includes, but is not limited to, your own private service rack. Complete with a flat bed tow truck, driver, and a mechanic on standby 24/7 at the location of your choice. They only give you one location, because it's a sure bet you'll never get the car very far past it.

Grand Cherokee vs the new Range Rover Sport

Even if I did have the money (never going to happen on a nurse's salary but I'm good with that) I could not justify spending this much on something that depreciates. And for what? To make people not like you when they look at you? Prestige. I guess that's not my thing. Apparently it is for a lot of other people. My Overland is perfectly loaded for my taste and still impresses passengers and bystanders.

I bet these SUVs ride a bit nicer and I bet they might be a tad quieter on the highway. But these people don't even buy these things for traveling, they fly. Either first class or private.

The Grand Cherokee is very nice for what it is. Sure, the Summit can get expensive. But the reality of it is, the Summit does it good enough compared to more expensive alternatives. I like Jeeps though.

Exactly. And when you can purchase something like this for almost $10K LESS, what's the point?

You'll probably use that 10K of savings into a overhaul job of the right engine pretty soon.

"Pretty soon"? It's still got over 600 hours on it. Besides, even if you put another $100K into it, you got beautiful fast, long range twin. If you spend $230,000.00 on that overpriced rolling box, (assuming to get it off the rack long enough for it to actually roll under it's own power), that's all you're going to ever have. Worth less every day until it's worthless.

Somehow one must get from the stairs of one's private jet to one's bungalow on one's private island. Not just any old luxopig will do.

No way. This right here is code for: "selling the land; because house will have to be demolished".
