Re: Grand Cherokee vs the new Range Rover Sport

If money is an issue for you, why even consider getting a RR... What are the benefits ....Ride quality? That's worth the risk of getting a used car that someone else surely passed gas in? How do you know an over anxious teenage couple didn't fornicate in the back seat? All that risk for a barely noticeable ride improvement. Smh... I've never understood making a concession to buy a used car over a new one? Ummmmm... Let me compare this brand new Camry to a 6 year old Mercedes... Just can't decide...
Can you tell I hate used cars(I know I'm in the minority)... But seriously buy the RR it's much cooler than a jeep. Plus I'll be really impressed.

Well, you are certainly in the minority when it comes to being a schmuck! Here I ask for intelligent, educated comments and you give some smart ass remark?! Talk about SMH!

This is incorrect. The current gen RRS shares its underpinnings with the FFRR. In the prior gen it was the LR4, but no more.

LOL - I didn't say I was getting a Range Rover. I'm simply inquiring.

One thing the RRS lacks vs the Jeep - remote start.

It lacks lot more than that. Before I got the X5 I briefly looked at RR just to see ( no intention to buy, just out of curiosity) and the navi/entertainment seems like it's from the 90's running DOS 6.22

Yes the Navi/Ent is also poor - although will be upgraded (to above the Jeep's standard) this summer with the MY17.

I noticed that. Amazing one would pay that much for a vehicle and it comes without such a simple feature. Could be BS but I heard it had something to do with British regulations....Again, could be BS.

Forget the RRS - get a Defender 90 or 110 before they are gone and then you can go anywhere and look good doing it ( not the most comfortable ride thought!)

Apparently there's a picture of a new one coming out. Not sure on the production details.
