Re: Grill insert part number yet?

I wonder if this is going to give people with the ACC a problem since it is mounted in the grill I think. That would be bad if we spend $1200 for the ACC and then $400 for grill and then crash into the back of someone when the jeep does not detect them.

Re: Grill insert part number yet?

I assume that the chrome replacement grill will not cause any problem for the ACC since it looks like the same mesh as on the Overland (just chrome rather than black). However, I have a couple of questions:

1. Where are the sensors for the adpative cruise control and forward collision warning? I don't want to mess this up when replacing the grill insert.

2. How difficult is installation?

3. Isn't there also a black mesh grill below the front bumper (I don't have mine yet and can't remember)? If so, will a chrome replacement for this also be available?

Re: Grill insert part number yet?

the acc and such is in the lower grille

I would assume the grill will need to be removed or it will be a full replacement grill

no word on the lower grill

Re: Grill insert part number yet?

Hey guys, I do have another part # for you that is available. I ordered it yesterday, and I should have at the end of the week. Part # is 68089734AA. It is the part # for the "Summit" grille, and is a little more. I believe 424.00. Hope that helps.

Re: Grill insert part number yet?

If you guys are paying $424 for chrome mesh only you are getting royally ripped off. Guarantee someone will be selling a replica kit for $69.95 on ebay before the end of the year.

Re: Grill insert part number yet?

In response to Jeep 2011, I am unable to reply to you as I have not made enough posts. I work at a Jeep dealer in NJ and one of my parts' guys is very good at getting info. He confirmed the part # is 68089734AA. The oem part # for the Overland is 57010708AC. It is a full grille, not an insert, which is probably why it's so expensive.
