Got their recommend from two different dealers and insurance agent.
Dunno if they do the pdr repairs.

Your dealer should be able to give you at least one recommend unless the dealer does their own bodywork.
thanks for the tip in longmont. I live near parker....that might be beyond my 100 mile tow/

the dealer is the last person I would ask for anything....Thanks.

My daughter feels your pain. She is in Billings MT and her Acura MDX sustained $6K worth of damage. Plus six windows in her house were broken. I was in Denver a week ago Thursday when some pretty big hail was coming down but my truck is no worse for it. It wasn't golfball size...more like gumball size with only a few gobstoppers thrown in.

Re: Hail damage

I have a 9:30am appointment with the adjuster tomorrow. I have no idea what to expect. The blue Mazda 3 that was parked directly next to my Jeep got $5300. Mine should be more if that's the case. I'm just apprehensive as EVERY time I ever worked with the insurance I would expect $6000 and they will try to write me a check for some crap like $1400.

Either way I'm going to the dealer right after the adjuster as they want to look at it and make an offer on it. I'm guessing they have the inside connection on hail repair so probably have them repaired on the cheap and make a few grand off the resale of a barely used vehicle. I should know how it all plays out tomorrow.

On a side note I took it through the car wash. The passenger front door and rear tail gate are the only panels on the vehicle without a ding on it. The roof, hood and rear quarter panels are all pretty banged up. The rest I would say have 3-5 dings per panel with the exception of the roof and hood which obviously look like a golf ball.

Re: Hail damage

$5709 in damages . Hood needs replaced as well as some quarter panel windows and some paint work. The dealer did a trade in appraisal on it so I'll see what they say then decide if I'll trade it in or have it repaired. I'm leaning towards a trade in as this could be a good opportunity to get out of this vehicle and it's ridiculously terrible shifting transmission. They said it'll be a couple weeks without it to repair it.

Re: Hail damage

Almost identical here, adjuster put it at almost $5800, and said he expected up to $1000 more in supplements. New hood as well. Big difference from the PDR's quote. I'm going to talk to the PDR place and make sure they are confident in their estimate, seems too far off even if you take out the cost of the hood.

Yup exactly the same. He gave me the supplement sheet as he said it'll probably be 1-2k more and I won't have to do anything as the body shop will contact them, have the adjuster come out and pay the difference.

And yes a much bigger difference than the PDR places because my adjuster was saying it will take some painting to make sure everything matches after the hood swap.

One thing I learned today. Add the rental car to my insurance. 14 years and never made a claim so never thought much of it. They want my Jeep for at least 2 weeks to do this and that's obviously no bueno if it's my only daily driver.

Re: Hail damage

I feel your pain, I don't have rental either. I spoke to the PDR place this morning and they assured me they can do the hood. They even showed me a wrx they are doing for the dealer with an aluminum hood. I just don't want to deal with matching the paint and feathering the fenders. I am very skeptical about how it will turn out. If I am not satisfied with the hood after PDR, they will still replace/paint on their dime for the labor. They even want me to inspect it when they are 1/2 done with it to be sure. I appreciate their honesty and think I will let them give it a shot.
