Hard to say good bye

2007 Grand Cherokee with Trail Rated package, two inch lift, and 245/70/17 Firestone Destination AT's.

4 years and 122,000 miles. My daughter cried when I drove you away to the dealership today. Good bye old friend, you have been apart of my family for many outdoor adventures.

2011 Grand Cherokee with Trail Rated package (and future lift kit?)

I have high hopes and big adventures planned. You have some big shoes to fill.

Re: Hard to say good bye

I liked the green, but the dealer sold it before I got there. I found several (green) at other dealerships, but not with tow packages and trail rated. I used the tread lightly discount and still got $9000 on trading in my old Larado with a V6. All the other dealers I visited with would only offer me $6000-$7000 because of the high miles on a Larado.

Re: Hard to say good bye

Congrats! I had the same problem finding one in green with the tow package and trail rated. I liked the green color so much I broke down and custom ordered one. Took 3 months of waiting but well worth it!

Re: Hard to say good bye

How'd you get a trail rated Jeep with the base 17" wheels?

Would have done that, but I doubt many of those are on the lots?

Nice job with the new WK2!

Funny thing is on my Laredo with 17's I have the Trail Rated badge, but the vehicle is not Trail Rated at all. I think either Jeep or the dealer put it on by mistake.

I compared the Laredo and the X side by side and I actually like the 17s and tires better than the 18s. I just think the 17s with those knobbier tires look more Jeep like.

Re: Hard to say good bye

There were three on the lot in Roseville yesterday. White gold, mineral grey, and silver. All of them had the QT2, tow packages, and 17" rims.

Thanks!!!

I have noticed a lot of Overland and Limited discussions. Glad I don't have to worry about the quadra lift and nav radio issues people are posting about. I enjoyed my last laredo being lifted at any speed and my iphone does excellent navigation in the confines of my cell reception area.
