Re: Has anyone had the sat antenna TSB done?

My 2014 Limited has had the random satellite audio drops for a year now. Never long, and not too often, just a 10 second or so audio drop randomly while in the clear open spaces.

I took mine in today for the Rev. C TCM flash and the satellite antenna TSB. When they hooked my car up to the computer they found it had thrown a code U0186-00
for loss of communication with the amplifier, for which there was a TSB flash. They did that flash and told me to drive it a while and see if that fixed the problem with the audio drop. If not, bring it back and they would order the parts for the replacement shark fin antenna. It did okay on the 40 mile drive home from the dealer. I've never really noticed whether I was actually losing the signal or if the audio was just dropping out so maybe this will fix the problem. But it only dropped out when on satellite so I still suspect the antenna.

As a side note, the TCM flash seems to have made the high speed downshifts when accelerating smother and I no longer have to jam the accelerator down to get a downshift. But I still get some clunky downshifts to 2nd when slowing down under hard braking. I don't think they will ever get this 8 speed perfect but it's close enough.

I'm surprised they just didn't replace the antenna instead of having you to come back again.

Re: Has anyone had the sat antenna TSB done?

Dealer is wrong. As others have said, Mopar usually does the AA to AB/AC thing when a new part supersedes a previous one. In this case, per the TSB, my antenna was replaced for the listed problems of muting plus it kept telling me I was in Juneau, AK. Old "Antenna, Base Cable and Bracket" part # 5LQ48JRPAA was replaced with the one listed in TSB, 1YG06JRPAC.
