Re: Has anyone seen Summit in person?

That interior looks awful. For those who like it to each their own. Looks like a typical white trash king ranch, possibly worse. All that black clashes with the brown, and the baseball glove leather brown is out of style.

Look, if you are buying a Summit you won't be disappointed it looks very high quality. But that interior is obnoxious and something a Range Rover owner would laugh at.

That's actually not a bad idea and I wonder why Jeep didn't do this. The interior is dominated with the saddle brown and black and the tan headliner and pillars just throw off the color combination.

I'm not a fan of the summit interior either but the Range Rover interior is a bit dated now, even with the updates and their new digital dash is tacky as hell.

Anyway I don't think Range Rover owners do much laughing when their trucks are being put on a flatbed to head back to the dealership.

I like the l/d beige interior but I do wish they offered something else as well. I like that the Range Rover offers navy seats which look good.
Or they could offer something like the old Wagoneer used to have.

That's it! A return to carpeted dashes for the retro enthusiasts out there.

Always liked the JGW woodies. Whenever I need a fix I surf over to www.wagonmaster.com.

Re: Has anyone seen Summit in person?

Yeah I was think more about the color than the carpeted dash...I do love the Old Wagoners though. Theres one down the street from me thats probably the cleanest I've ever seen. Looks like it just rolled off the lot. I only really see it in the winter though with ski racks on it. I think it lives in the garage the rest of the year.

Cost cutting. They only make one color headliner per car and chose tan for the GC, unfortunately. The new 300 and charger have black headliners. My first order of business when I get the new GC srt8 will be to switch out all the lighting to LED and having the headliner wrapped in black suede.

Re: Has anyone seen Summit in person?

I do not think light color headliners are a cost cutting measure. Most cars, even high end luxury cars, have light color headliners across the models. I personally hate dark headliners because it make the car so dark and cave like. They should definitely make it an option.

The only plus is not showing dirt, but then again who puts there hands all over the headliner?

Not that I would ever buy one, but the Land Rover already beat the new Jeep GC head to head in the car rags based upon its roomier and more upscale interior and greater off road capability.

I never buy anything but American and will be buying an overland but that interior = FAIL.

I didn't mean light headliners were cost cutting, just offering one color. Interestingly enough, my headliner gets dirty in my 300 with the tan headliner....i have no idea how. ( I don't touch it) The light color does make the cabin appear more "airy," but it looks like crap with dark colors IMO.
