Re: has anyones ass rubbed off on their saddle yet?

my light colored leather seats in my expedition got a blue stain from my wranglers on the left bolster. My saddle in the jeep is doing the same in less than 1000 miles.

+1 good jeans won't have that affect.

Glad someone was able to confirm my suspicions.

Yes saddle is amazing, but I don't want to be cleaning my seats once a week. Maybe it is worse in more humid climates. Glad I didn't go with this option now.

Thanks for the honesty!

Re: has anyones ass rubbed off on their saddle yet?

This is really weird how is it a couple people here get denim color rubbed into their leather and others dont? I have owned cars with leather seats since day one of my driving and never once experienced this. Do you guys get in your car and like move side to side constantly or something? lol

And for what its worth try using a Mr Clean magic eraser lightly on the stained area it will take everything off including dirt on the seat you didnt even know was there. Use it lightly, then be sure to put some quality leather condition back on it. These eraser's work wonders! Want to gross yourself out, use it on your steering wheel. Its nasty what it will take off your steering wheel. It leaves the surface new looking.
They are available at walmart in the cleaning aisle.

I wonder if climate is a factor. Maybe higher humidity effects how much color transfer there is.

Dark high end jeans normally come with a tag on them saying that the dyes used may rub off on certain fabrics or surfaces, until they have been washed a couple times. It was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the Frost interior. Thats a good idea with the mr. clean eraser just make sure it says safe for leather, I haven't used those much but I hear they do work great.

I have been using Magic Erasers for a long time now and so far no negative effects on the leather and have used them in several different cars. Again, it is a very light abrasive so I wouldnt go rubbing the heck out of your seat, but they sure do work nice. Just do it real lightly then treat it with a leather conditioner.
