has anyones ass rubbed off on their saddle yet?

The main thing keeping me from getting the saddle (besides the 4 month wait) was how they would handle dark denim. I had gray seats in my Audi and within a few weeks the driver seat was clearly tinted blue.

I didn't want to be one of "those" drivers that make people sit on towels...

If anyone has this issue post some pics so we can see what some wear on these seats look like.

This is the very reason I'll never have anything but black leather. Between denim and leather jackets I couldn't get the tint out.

Saddle is by no means a light color especially when the other of the three interior choices is signficantly lighter (light beige interior), and no ones complaining about that.
I have owned all sorts of interiors from very light tans to even white (anniversary 97 Camaro), and never had any jean color rub off onto the interiors. I keep up with my cars more than most people but still no issues either way.
This is not a problem with saddle interior!

You must only wear acid wash or light denim. I have seen dark denim stain chocolate brown couches. Girls high end very dark jeans are especially bad. It is even worse if it has been raining. I can even notice stains on my black shoes from the cuffs of some of my jeans.

I really don't see how it is possible for the Saddle not to show denim stains unless you never wear dark denim.

My opinion was that Saddle will look amazing for about a year maybe a year and a half and than it will not age well at all. I hope I am wrong because it looks great new.

If your jeans are bad enough to stain black shoes you either need new jeans or seat covers. My girlfriend wears lots of high end dark jeans and even on my very light beige Denali seats there are no stains. I had never even heard of this being an issue until I joined this forum.

Well I dont know what to tell you. I wear jeans every day and every single car I have owned has had leather and some with very light colored interiors. Never once have I had jean color rub off onto my leather seats and my wife must wear low end jeans because hers dont either lol. And I know she doesnt because I have seen what she pays for her clothes haha.

Maybe sweaty ass is the problem? In that case just use the ventilated seats.

Re: has anyones ass rubbed off on their saddle yet?

My wife has a 2010 Lexus RX350 and I was wondering what the light blue tint was on the driver seat. She has a seat color that is very near the light beige in the WK2. I believe the saddle is dark enough that you wouldn't see the light blue tint. Also with the Lexus as long as I keep it maintained it remains almost unnoticeable.

Funny thing, my honda civic has black leather seats and they have rubbed off more than any color leather I've had.

My light color leather seats are stained blue by my Blue Jeans, their was a thread about this topic a few months ago.

Their is a product that will take the stain out, they showed pictures of how well it worked on a Rolls Royce Silver Spur with white leather seats.

They were even contemplating removing the seats and recoloring the leather on the Rolls.

It is " Leather Doctor Semi-Aniline Leather Care Kit S-250.p "

Re: has anyones ass rubbed off on their saddle yet?

2008 WK with saddle has held up fine, with no staining or problems and I don't really expect any with my 2011 WK2 saddle leather. As an aside, the leather in the 2011 seems to be higher quality (thicker) than the 2008. I'd be more concerned with the lighter grey than the saddle, but you can buy seat covers. But what is the fun in that, so that the next owner can enjoy the leather seats you never did?
