Have Jeep Side Rails, Need Added Step for Wife's Knee Surgery??

I have the Jeep MoPar chrome side step rails for my 12 GC, but I would like to add a wider "temporary" side step for my wife while she recovers/rehabs from upcoming knee surgery. Something that would "hook" over the chrome side step rails (I could just keep in the back and hook it over when needed), or mount underneath and slide out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I think finding something like that is probably pretty unlikely. How about just a small step stool that you can put out on the ground?

Trade in the wife for a new one with two good knees?

Just kidding

But I think you will be better off with a step stool or something similar. Something that just hooks on and off seems to me to be a bit iffy as in it could swing and wreck her knee even worse. Another option could be getting your other option, I see lifted trucks with them all the time. A motorized step pops down when yo need it and folds under when you don't. I would check an offroad truck shop to see if they can make you a set. Good luck

This isn't exactly what I was thinking but very similar.

MBRP Part 130715 - Rock Rail Step

I know these aren't exactly the motorized ones I was thinking of but these may work.
