Its a JEEP-thing....
I was concerned that I had made a mistake when I sold my Wrangler and Stepped into a Summit.
I manage a large exotic game ranch and spend a good chunk of the day prowling rocky trails...nothing extreme....its a job, not a hobby, I drive around the redonculous stuff, not through it.
So far....my shiny new summit has performed supurbly!!!! It even handles what we call "Kamikaze Hill". Again, nothing worthy of a magazine cover, but a good 50% (45-degree) grade with loose surface and sharp drops to either side.
Admittedly...I've only taken it DOWN "Kamikazi Hill" because Im still rolling on the OEM Fotera's, All terrain's NEXT month.
The fortera's seem pretty good for city-tires out of their element. But Im constantly driving through jagged rocks, cactus and mesquite that would love to prove that mother nature can still win from time to time.
I'm very pleased to say that I can ease up next to Joe-Camo on his four-wheeler in the boondocks...roll down the window and say:
"Pardon me, Do you have any Grey Poupon?"
Then I ease on down the trail in silent comfort.
Happy Trails, all.
