Re: Hello...meet my 2012 GC

I like it and think it looks great! I like the offroad look because that's what sets apart a Jeep from other SUVs. Now if you were doing this to a Kia Sportage, then I'd question it. But this looks well done, cleean and meeean! Nice work

Dont worry what others think, long as you like it, no need to explain your choices.

Would be interesting to see how it goes offroad, and on road in normal driving.

I reckon some rock rails would make it look even better
Thanks, and your absolutely right. I plan to add the Mopar side steps.

That's exactly what I was going for. THanks!

Love it! If I were to get another Jeep that is the look I would go for, good job!

Re: Hello...meet my 2012 GC

That just looks awesome. I love the black and gray. That is pretty much what I want to do to my GC!

Went with the procomp 7036 wheels and the RR 2.5" spacer lift. Pepboys was actually willing to install the lift for me as it didn't involve any modifying of parts. Just charged me for the labor of changing the stock struts as that's pretty much all it is except for bolting on the spacers.

Came out just the way I wanted. Followed this concept 2012 Explor Jeep Grand Cherokee | ActivityVehicle.com

Ran into some rubbing that I wasn't expecting based on what I researched here but was able to take care of it taking a grinder to the inner fender as referenced in this thread The Quest to Run 305/60/18 Tires with No Lift. - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum
I know the rubbing was do to my 18x9 0 offset wheels.

Painted the grille and rear piece black and pulled off all the badges and the side trim for more of a clean look.

The exact setup I am going for.
