Help decide 2014 GC Laredo w/All Weather vs. 2014 GC Limited with Nav

Hi guys,

I'm down to deciding between 2 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees

Contestant #1
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
w/ All weather package

vs.

Contestant #2
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
w/ Nav

There appears to be approx. a 4-5k price difference and it seems like the smart play is the Laredo but I keep wondering if the couple of extra features on the Limited are worth the expense. The extras on the Limited seem to be the backup camera, leather, nav package and larger screen radio, heated 2nd row, and parking sensor...am I missing anything?

Thoughts or advice?

If your budget is tight, the Laredo. If not, buy the one you like the best, that's what test drives are for.

Limited. It is the better vehicle, more equipment. Those parking lines on your backup camera will come in VERY handy and the navigation is one of the best in the industry. Of course people will moan and bitch about it but it really is. And you also forgot one thing: Limited also has the better transmission with Quadra-Trac II (low gearing) vs. just the Quadra-Trac I available on the Laredo (basically AWD only).

Laredo with all-weather package has QT-II.

It depends if those features are worth 4-5k to you. I have the RA3 radio with nav in my Laredo and love it. I do wish it had the backup cam, which I'm thinking about adding now that an OEM kit is available. I didn't have the budget to step up to the Limited, but I'm still more than happy with my Laredo.

I have a Limited, mechanically the 2 of your selections are the same and will perform the same on the road, or off it. The options are the difference. Go with the one that makes you smile and not wishing you had gone with something else. I could not be more pleased with ours.

Altitude is just a special edition variant of the Laredo. It's a nice trim for folks who only want/need what it offers, but you have extremely limited options available. This is all you can get:
Laredo Altitude - Options:

A. 9 AMPLIFIED SPEAKERS W/SUBWOOFER (RC3) (requires Parkview camera) ($495 / INV. $441)

B. ENGINE BLOCK HEATER ($95 / INV. $85)

C. PARKVIEW™ REAR BACK-UP CAMERA (XAC) (requires RC3) ($395 / INV. $352)

D. POWER SUNROOF ($995 / INV. $886) (required option)

E. SINGLE DISC REMOTE CD PLAYER ($445 / INV. $396)

F. TRAILER TOW GROUP IV ($795 / INV. $708)

Altitude comes standard with more than a Laredo E though.
