I am trading in a vehicle that they're giving me $10,000 and I owe $9820 on it. So thats a wash and I am completely content 100% with getting what I am getting for it. Please let me know if theres something Im not seeing about this element if this is another factor
Ah, another variable, the trade. Sounds to me like they're overallowing on the trade since that's really about the only way a dealer can do a dealer trade and still sell below invoice. 99% of dealers do dealer trades at invoice, so they still make the holdback. So how then can they sell you a vehicle $1000 below invoice that they'll have to go get from another dealership? They'll also have to pay a driver to go get it which is $100-$300. Again, with what you're telling us, the only way they could is if they are overallowing on the trade.

Bottom line for you, pick your payment number you're happy with and tell them to get there. And call them when you do so, don't go in.

Good luck.

Re: HELP! First Post: Leasing a Laredo X package...Is this a good lease deal????

The dealer today offered me the following deal on a 2011 JGC that was the owners car and has 3k miles on it. I would not be penalized on the miles.
39 months
10k miles per year
$3500 total due at signing.
$359 a month all in (including tax, etc.)

They told me I am only getting such a good deal because they want to move the car and it has 3k miles already on it. Is this a deal that I should jump on? The color is the dark blue which I like but is not my favorite. Willing to live with it though if I am getting a great deal on it.

Can anyone offer some advice on whether I should do the deal? This is a base Jeep - cloth seats, no sunroof. Only thing it does have is the convenience package - remote starts, garage opener, bluetooth, etc.

4X4 or 2 wheel drive? Not that it matters that much in price...

From Jeep's website:

Lease a 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO 4X4 for $369 per month for 39 months. Total due at signing: $2,499. Security deposit included.

So I'd say no, that's not a great, or even good deal. At that price they drove it for free, and even turned a profit after they were done driving it.

Re: HELP! First Post: Leasing a Laredo X package...Is this a good lease deal????

I'm paying $399.00 per month for 36 months at 12k miles per year. I put $1,000 down and had them waive the taxes (7% sales tax in NJ). MSRP was $34,490 for the Laredo E with convenience package (bluetooth, satellite radio, garage uconnect etc...) so taxes would have been roughly $2415. So if you got it down to $31,390, I would think that you can probably do better than $467 per month. Try to have them waive the taxes and negotiate the payment to $425 per month.

The value of your trade has nothing to do with what you owe on it. You need to see what your trade is really worth rather than just being content with getting what you owe. When I trade a car in and the dealer wants to know what I owe on it before telling what they will give me for it I just explain that what I owe has nothing to do with what the car is worth, just give me a fair price for my trade.

Re: HELP! First Post: Leasing a Laredo X package...Is this a good lease deal????

I think the lease special is for a 4x2 vehicle.

I have another dealer giving me the following quote on a new base jeep gc with cloth seats...$3500 due at signing, $350 a month all in. 10k a year, 39 months. I am trying to decide if I can do better or if this is a good deal...

Any help appreciated.
