When that legend was debunked, Hostess went bankrupt. I wonder if the new owners have added an ingredient to make it true.

Re: HELP-little black ANTS

You can also use swimming pool filter D.E. (Diatomaceous Earth). If you stop by a pool supply place they'll give you a cup of it. (They only sell it in big 25 pound bags). It's non toxic, and they're drawn to it.

It kills by getting on their exoskeleton and it's an abrasive that scratches through the waxy, protective layer. They then dehydrate and die. Leave a small amount of it in a lid, or something similar on the front and rear floor. Also in the hatchback area. Add a little powdered sugar to attract them. They'll get into it and disappear. All that will be left is to vacuum them out after a few days. I use it in my backyard because I have a small dog, and don't want to use poison. After a good rain, it's all gone.

You can also get it in a product called J.B. Bore Paste that shooters use to lap their gun barrels. It's the same stuff, but in a paste form. Same deal.

Re: HELP-little black ANTS

Similar thing happened to me. Was park in econo lot at MIA airport and a week or so later returned someone had placed a half eaten DQ Blizzard cup next to my front tire. They don't clean up the econo lot real often. Needless to say a billion ants and they decided to make my GC home next to their bounty. Tiny ants would emerge while driving. Crazy.

Got some Raid bait traps and after a few days or so, no more ants! See photo of similar product. Just place two under the seats for a few weeks.

Re: HELP-little black ANTS

Placed 8 ant traps in the Jeep; 5 in the engine compartment and 3 in the interior. Lots of activity.

Cool Re: HELP-little black ANTS

DAN JGC: Like that name. That's the traps that I am using.

I had this happen with a previous Mercedes after parking in a field.
I parked the car in the garage, closed the garage door and then set off a specrtracide bug bomb off and placing it under the car then allowed car to remain in garage for an hour. I then washed the car and vacuumed up the dead ants. Was a vey quick method without having to spray chemicals inside the vehicle.

HELP-little black ANTS

Bait traps. They will not go away unless the workers bring the goods back to the queen. If y'all spray them, they will keep coming back.
