Re: Help me buy an Overland

From the Owner's Manual for the Hemi:
"This engine is designed to meet all emissions regulations and provide satisfactory fuel economy and performance when using high-quality unleaded gasoline having an octane range of 87 to 89. The manufacturer recommends the use of 89 octane for optimum performance. The use of premium gasoline is not recommended, as it will not provide any benefit over regular gasoline in these engines."

Question Axle Ratio Clarification

I was under the assumption that the Hemi axle ratio is 3.47, but gets reduced to 3.09 with the Off-Road Packages. Looking at Milous' specs for QuadraDrive II, it states that the 3.09 ratio will be included with this option. Since QDII is now standard, does the Overland get the 3.09 axle with no choice for an option???

Re: Help me buy an Overland

I finally had a dealer in Jersey call me who seemed knowledgable. I'm going to go there as soon as I can, trade in this Lexus and put my order in.

Going for the V8 now as long as my wife doesn't stop me =(

Blackberry, black with white piping interior, and all the bells and whistles.

One thing I think thats awesome going from Lexus to jeep is how much cheaper parts are. I could get a set of new 20" rims for the jeep for like $800. With Lexus everything was $2000

Re: Help me buy an Overland

this is my 2nd Jeep GC with the 5.7L Hemi. The owners manual recommends premium, however the manual also states 87 octane (I believe) regular is fine. Regular is all I have used, no issues at all. My current ride is an '08 Overland Hemi.

I agree with all. Chrysler has made the ordering process challenging. That said, having experienced the Overland, the vehicle is equipped with all that comes on the Limited, plus the upgraded interior and exterior appointments. The website and literature is clear, the Overland is equipped with standard features, 20" wheels (18" no charge option), Quadra-lift suspension (now available), Garmin Nav. System (now available). The Tech. Pkg. remains late availability. Dealers are still waiting on confirmation (I plan to order that pkg. as well).

The accessories (chrome bezel for fog lamps, SS wiremesh grill, illuminated KickPlates w/Jeep Logo) are available, and can be found on the Jeep website (with a bit of hunting).

I plan to place my 2011 Overland Hemi order in Sept. Mineral Grey Metallic/Saddle interior, and all bells/whistes, except read DVD. Also, the Jeep accessories above. Additionaly, I will order the Pedator tuner (when available).

I posted previously a quote from the on-line Owner's Manual that states the Hemi is tuned for 89, that 87 is okay, but that premium is discouraged and will add nothing to the mix. This may be different than your previous Jeep, but that's what is published.

Re: Help me buy an Overland

I could have sworn there was a black nappa interior with white piping. Didn't someone get it on these forums? If there isn't I may need to wait for the brown then.
