Re: HELP!! Meguiars Tire Shined Stained My Painted Trim!!!

I use the Meguiars hot shine spray foam and it is awesome.. Use a sponge after the foam fades away and no sling.

HELP!! Meguiars Tire Shined Stained My Painted Trim!!!

This is why I only use water based tire dressings.

To me, those brown spots look like dirt and residual tire dressing that was not cleaned off your tire 100% before you applied a new coat and or new dressing that was not properly wiped down.

Anytime you use a silicon/oil based tire dressing you just inviting dirt to cling to your tires and sling around, regardless how long you wait for it to dry. After a while of driving it will almost create a small amount of brown sludge on the sidewalks that will be a bitch to clean off a painted surface or wheel.

These are a few water based dressings that you should check out:
Chemical Guys - VRP (cream)
Mothers FX (spray)
Meguiars Hyper Dressing (spray)
