Smile Help Settle a Debate....please :-)

I had posted on the 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes sticky thread the following (note for the GRAND Cherokee):

"I'm surprised the Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist+, LaneSense™ Lane Departure Warning+ and Wireless charging pad weren't added to the 2015 GC when they were available on the 2014 Cherokee"

Welllll.....a friendly - but persistent - bloke from Australia keeps insisting via PM that the Australian version ALREADY had these features as STANDARD. Especially the Lane Departure Warning which he claims was standard in the Australian version of the 2014 Overland. Again, we are talking about the GRAND Cherokee here (not the Cherokee).

I don't think that is correct. I may be wrong, but I can't find that information anywhere that those features are even available on the Australian version of the 2014 Grand Cherokee let alone came standard on the 2014.

Milous (and anyone else with direct knowledge) can you chime in and set the record straight? Just looking for accurate information here.

Blind spot monitoring yes, the lane departure system as per this video below, no.
Bloody Aussies, never trust them.

Re: Help Settle a Debate....please :-)

Yeah - blind spot monitoring I've had since my 2011 GC here in the U.S. I understand the headlamp washers were standard versus optional, but to claim features that don't exist are standard seemed confused to me.
