For those of you with the Hemi, what kind of gas mileage are you getting? i hear you can get better than what has been advertised. With gas at $3.25 i sure hope so.

On a 150 mile trip with a 20MPH head wind I still got 19 MPG. I would say that is going to bad as it gets for those type of conditions. Living in Iowa the winds to get pretty high so that is always a factor with gas mileage. I use 89 with 10%. I haven't seen a gas station in Iowa that sells 89 w/o ethanol so I have no comparison there. In the city I get 13-15ish depending how cold it is and if i want to drive it hard.

Haven't seen anyone post about towing anything. I have two jetskis weighting about 2400lbs and with my '06 4.7L @ 65-70mph I would get about 10-13 mpg. Hope I get more on the highway with the Hemi. ALso how does it pull a trailer for those who have trailers to pull?

I drive a 150 mile round trip to the DEN airport regularly (V8 Hemi). The drive is mostly highway and I start at 7000', go to 5200', and back. 78mph for two-thirds and 65mph for the rest.

21 mpg with Latitude Tour tires with regular unleaded which is 85 Octane in Colorado.

Same trip with LTX M/S 2s ... 22.5 mpg and regular unleaded mixed with 25 percent "mid-grade", 87 Octane. The second trip also had a little less traffic.

I've read plenty of debate on 85 Octane gas in Colorado. The Jeep runs fine on it, but it appears I get a little bump in mpg with the "mid-grade" 87 Octane. Many gas stations in Colorado only carry 85 and 91, but I'll be sticking with the 87 Octane when I can.

Also got 16.5 mpg towing a 2200lb trailer at 65mph on a trip last weekend.

Regardless of the Octane debate, I'm VERY HAPPY with the highway fuel economy.

13.5 to 15 depending on how much highway travel I have. Probably and even 50% city/highway.

....but my right foot is encased in lead too, so that doesn't help...

Doing a 220km trip at 125kph, 2000rpm I got it down to 12.9l/100km but the previous tank I did 400km town travelling. It went up to 21l/100km. :eek:Then as mentioned before. "In town you drive it like you stole it" but its nice because the horses are there. I have found that at 70km/h she runs over 16l/100km:mad:

13-14 Mostly City. Hess 89 Religiously. Almost 400 miles to a tank. Use Cruise on Long Stretches and don't drive it like I stole it. :) I'm pretty pleased Vs my 2006 Hemi Jeep Wk.
