So, I bought my WK2 two years ago with 30,000 miles on it and now I'm sitting at nearly 60,000. Dumb me didn't buy an extended warranty. I plan on keeping my WK2 for another 4-5 years so am looking into the mopar extended warranty.
My question is what kind of problems are high mileage WK2's running into? Did your extended warranty cover?
Post year, package, mileage, and problems please
2011 Laredo with 60,000 miles problem free thus far
I can't answer your issues question because I haven't experienced any at 41K miles after 25 months, but I did purchase the Mopar MaxCare Lifetime Service Contract because of my high mileage expectation and need to keep the vehicle for 5-7 years. Given all the tech combined with time/mileage, I felt more comfortable with having the extended service contract. (It's not a warranty... 0
I purchased the extended MaxCare with my SRT at 60k miles and shortly there after I heard squeeks in the rear. I brought it in to the dealer and was told we don't have to look at it the shocks and brackets need to be replaced. They said it's happening on 2012 and 2013 WK2s That is under warranty, which is good news
I am about to break 90,000mi on my 2011 Overland 5.7 4x4. I do have an extended warranty to 125,000mi. My issues:
Black plastic trim is fading - not covered by warranty
Driver's seat has a small tear (A/C seats so prefferated leather) - Need to take it in to see if it is covered.
Absolutely no issues mechanically or electronic wise. The last month or so I have a new rattle coming from the panoramic sunroof.
I'm at 109,000 on mine. 3.6 engine.
Nothing major so far other than maintenance items and a few things below.
AC door actuator
Front Struts
Rear door lock actuator
Driver's seat is has a few small cracks in side bolster of seat.
Had to replace an AC vent assembly due to it not holding position during higher air flow.
All and all, I'd say very minor things.
As far as the plastic wheel well arches fading, try going over them with a heat gun.
WOW! Great information. I am a high mileage driver (just over 30K per year) and I am hoping for a long "best friend" relationship with the Jeep. I did buy the lifetime MaxCare Warranty to cover my arse.
Thanks for the info on mileage and maintenance items needed.
