hit 1000 miles today. Still loving this ride!

I've owned an Acura TL type S, Subaru WRX, Nissan Murano, and driven my wife's Ford Explorer and Toyota Sienna van....

and this vehicle is my favorite so far. It's roomy, comfortable, the technology works well, it's smooth and quiet. I'm glad I got the V-8, I like the extra power.

2 quick questions for anyone who might know:

1. The side view mirrors have some kind of pattern in the upper right corner that looks like 3 squiggly arrows inside a small box. What does this designate?

2. The center display is a bit too bright at night, even when I leave it in the automatic color display setting, and I have to change it to the "night" colors setting. Shouldn't the screen automatically dim at night if I set it to "automatic" setting?

1) mirror defrosters. activated when you turn on rear defrost.
2) center screen - do you mean the EVIC (display in between tach and speedo) or Nav screen? - Either way, your panel dim switch is set to lock to the highest brightness. turn it down one notch and it will auto adjust based on the auto headlight sensor.

I thought it was the front defrosters?

I traded in my 2007 Acura TL-S for a 2012 Overland V6, Mineral Gray on Saddle. The Acura was a great car, but couldn't be happier with the Jeep. Living in Mass and making regular trips to Northern Maine, the Jeep will come in handy.
