hitch size on 14 summit

Dumb question but I can't find that information... is it a 2" or 1.25" ? I would say it's a 2" since it's a class IV but I'm pretty new to this hitch stuff, I need to buy a bike carrier...

anyone knows? manual doesn't say anything that I could find... :-(

Re: hitch size on 14 summit

I went with a thule 9043 helium aero 3. It was way more than I wanted to spend but it's so light and easy to put on and take off I think I made the right choice. All the rest I looked at were quite a bit heavier. I can have the rack and bikes on and ready to go in no time.

Re: hitch size on 14 summit

Vehicles really intended for towing will have a 2" receiver.

Look at the Thule 9028 for two bikes or 9029 for 4 bikes. I got the 9028 works great.
