And yes, they are set to on.
Congrats, rd! You had a long wait.

And jonesark, for the auto hi beams, make sure you have not only the rotary knob set to 'Auto', but also the steering wheel stalk pressed forward into the hi beam position (otherwise the beams just stay low). Finally, make sure the windshield is clear up around the central rearview mirror, where the sensor is. Good luck!

Re: Holy Crap I am so happy!!!

Even in sport mode, the QL is softer than the springs. But, I like how it makes getting in easier, and I will need the extra ground clearance off road next summer. Just thought I would mention the difference I noticed for people that don't need 10+ inches on occasion.

One thing to note, Sport mode has no effect on the shocks, they are fixed damping.

I test drove 2 Overlands back to back on the same roads, one with the off road package and one without (18" vs 20" wheels and tires) and there is a lot of difference in the ride. The 18's felt floaty, for lack of a better term, the 20's felt better connected. Although the ride "seems" soft, the body role pitch and dive over large swells and cornering manners are quite sporty for an SUV. I've had a number of "sporty" SUV's (Cayenne TT, TBSS, Touareg) and the Overland with 20's in sport mode can hold it's own. It's not up to the level of the Cayenne but then again, it ain't setting me back $96K either! The steel suspension Limited I drove felt firmer but didn't have any better cornering manners and seemed to have as much, if not more pitch in the corners as well as more bounce in the large swells.

Personally, I certainly wouldn't agree that the steel suspension is "sportier" than the QLII but I didn't rent one for a long time either. For comparison, we have a GTI and a Porsche Boxster. The GTI (bone stock) has a stiffer ride than the Boxster S (M030 European spec sport suspension) but that doesn't mean it's the sportier, better handing car.

The ride quality could all be due to tires and not only the QL suspension. I've noticed a huge difference between the smooth ride of the 20" Forteras and the firm feel of my 18" Blizzaks all on the same suspension.

It is. I believe it's just to bright around here for them to do anything. I've had it out 3 or 4 times at night and haven't seen them do it yet.

Probably not all the tires but I'm sure that's a big part of it. The steel sprung Limited I drove didn't have the ORII package, one of the Overlands I drive did have ORII. Of the bunch the one I liked the least was the Overland with the ORII package. The one I liked the most was the Overland with the 20" wheels.

Re: Holy Crap I am so happy!!!

mjw930 I felt the same way the first time I drove some Limiteds and Overlands; they all had the 18" wheels with Latitudes (no QL at that time) and I preferred the ride in the base Laredo with the 17" Forteras. Funny thing is I also liked the look of the 17" wheels over the 18" wheels. No regrets now with the 20" Forteras though; excellent combo for me in everything Chicago has thrown at them.
